Sevens: a guide for your next round

Check the rule below as you play. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Try a more deliberate round

Read the position before choosing your next action. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.

Your goal

The board gives you the information needed for the next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Step by step

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Choosing and moving on screen

Check the rule below as you play. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

See the idea in action

A careful first move helps you understand the round. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

A mistake to avoid

Read the position before choosing your next action. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.
